Motivated by his daughter's allergies to cats, Ashok Wahi, a professional engineer by trade, explored ways that could help his daughter without the risk of side-effects and medications. Rather than explore how he could mask or treat her symptoms, Ashok explored ways to prevent his daughter from ingesting the allergens causing her reactions. The results of his research yielded a patented methodology called NasalGuard, which utilizes the natural electrostatic charge of airborne particles to help snag them by way of an oppositely charged topical gel.

In 1995, Ashok Wahi, founded Trutek Corp. to bring his invention to millions of allergy sufferers around the globe, offering them a chance to deal with their allergies, without drugs, as he did for his daughter.
